If you're unhappy with your life,
having relationship troubles,
or no relationships at all...
Finding it hard to get along with people,
hating yourself, angry at the world,
depressed a lot of the time,
or feeling anxiety about people, places or nothing in particular,
these therapies can make a significant difference.
If your problems are physical in nature, these can often be psychological in origin. I'm talking about chronic back pain, headaches, heart palpitations, weakness, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, even autism.(see testimonials page)
As the saying goes, it is better to light a candle than to curse the darkness.
*********************I am a Toronto therapist with many years of experience in EFT and other brief therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Solution-Focussed Therapy. These therapies have one thing in common: they focus on the present and the future, and what you can do to move forward in a more fulfilling way. As Carl Jung said,
"What you resist, persists."
Let me help you find ways to let go of resistance and the things that keep you stuck in the past and the pain.
Some of my clients have never had therapy before. Others have spent years in traditional therapy sessions, and while they have gained valuable insights into their situations, they have told me they still felt depressed or anxious. In addition to the EFT, I use cognitive behavioural techniques to help you control your self-talk, those invasive thoughts telling you you're a bad person, or defective, or that people won't like you.
*********************In addition to EFT (see http://www.emofree.com/a/?2668) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, my sessions include nutritional analysis specificially focussed on food and how it can affect your mental well-being. Please contact me if you would like more information at mailto:info@artemistherapy.com.
I offer face-to-face therapy in a lovely Victorian house on a tree-lined residential street in downtown Toronto. There is free parking at my doorstep and I am close to major forms of transit. I like to think of the therapy room as a place of sanctuary.
I also provide phone and e-therapy for people who can't get away, are on the road a lot or would prefer the ultimate in privacy (using e-mail and instant messaging). My rates are flexible, depending on your financial circumstances. (see FAQ's for details)
